Apple US Black Friday sale starts

Apple's US online store has just gone live with the company's Black Friday sale, and while there's no outrageous bargains to be had - not that they were ever likely – there are still discounts in just about every range.  Typical cuts include $101 off the new 13-inch late-2008 model MacBook, up to $101 off the iMac desktop, and $11 off an 8GB or 16GB iPod nano.

There's also $21 off an iPod touch, or the same amount off the iPod classic.  The Apple TV has been reduced $21.  Accessories and software are also discounted, with everything from iPod cases, laptop bags, power supplies, headphones and speakers being reduced.  The iPhone Bluetooth headset has dropped $11 to $88.

Apple's reduced MacBook prices aren't as great as the offers from Best Buy and MacMall, and unlike those retailers the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and Mac Pro desktop aren't discounted at all.  However Apple will apparently price-match competitors discounts if you bring proof with you to the store.
