Apple iPad 2 Arrives 5pm March 11 In-Store; 1am PT Online
Apple has confirmed launch details for the iPad 2, which will go on sale at Apple Stores – along with other select retailers – at 5pm local time in the US. The tablet – which we reviewed yesterday – will also go on sale online from 1am PT.
If you're not near one of Apple's 236 stores, you'll be able to pick up the new iPad 2 at AT&T, Best Buy, Target, Verizon Wireless, Walmart and select Apple Authorized Resellers as well. However, the included Personal Setup service will only be offered at official Apple Stores.
Pricing is $499 for the 16GB iPad 2 WiFi, $599 for the 32GB model and $699 for the 64GB model. As for the iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G, that starts at $629 for the 16GB model, $729 for the 32GB model and $829 for the 64GB model, and be available with either AT&T or Verizon 3G integrated.
