App updates: Jawbone's UP and EasilyDo score new features

Rounding out this quiet Friday night, a couple of apps have scored improvements and new features with updates that rolled out today: Jawbone's UP app and EasilyDo Smart Assistant. With the updates come changes ranging from bug fixes to a revamped design and additional functionality.

First up is Jawbone's UP app, which now sits at version 3.0.3 for iOS and brings with it activity alerts, giving move notifications "that are relevant". The notifications can be customized based on the time of the day or the steps you take per day — the feature is only available for UP24 users, however.

UP also scored the new ability to log a workout as a swim for those who find it relevant, the sync performance has been fixed, which will hopefully solve some of the syncing issues some users have experienced. Joining the update is EasilyDo, which, most notably, has received a new "even simpler" design.

The maker also promises there are new "major performance and improvements," saying its app is now "incredibly fast". Support has been increased to cover hundreds of new service providers, big improvements have been tacked on for scheduling and posting birthdays, and a Seattle Chocolates gift card option has been added.
