AOC's first curved gaming display comes in black

Today is the first day that AOC has its own curved gaming monitor. This display rolls with a black/silver cabinet and a curved-edge rectangular base, and its display is relatively massive. This display has a single 35" Class, 21:9 Aspect Ratio panel with a 35" Diagonal Viewable Area. Brightness typically rings in at 300 cd/m², and its highest supported resolution is 2560 x 1080 @60Hz. It's not the sharpest display in the universe, but it's certainly a looker.

According to AOC, "The C3583FQ's 2560 x 1080 HD resolution is everything than you need for fast paced action games." They also suggest that this means you're not going to have to spend as much cash on a graphics card – lucky you! "Operating in HD resolution instead of 4K resolution also means gamers won't need to use an ultra HD capable graphics card."

The screen can tilt -3.5-degrees + 1.5-degrees to +21.5-degrees + 1.5-degrees – adjustable within reasonable bounds. Input includes 1 x VGA, 1x DVI, 2xHDMI (2xMHL), and 2xDP – more than you could ever possibly need. Viewing angles according to AOC include Horizontal: 178 Degrees (CR>10) and Vertical: 178 Degrees (CR>10).

"To envision the C3583FQ's 2000R curvature, imagine making a circle of just C3583FQ monitors," said an AOC representative. "The screens would be 6.5 feet away from a seat placed at the circle and the circle of monitors would have a diameter of 13 feet. Displays with 2000R when compared to displays with 4000R offer much more 'curve'."

Also inside this model AOC C3583FQ are two 5-watt speakers which are, unfortunately, built in to the back of the monitor, facing them in exactly the wrong direction – but apparently they're able to "surround you in all your gaming adventures" anyway.

This display has a color depth of 16.7M and works with a Universal 110V~240V AC, 50/60Hz power source, with power consumption at 60W (typical) with power on, and standby at under 0.5W. AOC includes Kensington Security Lock, Includes AOC's e-Saver, Screen+, and iMenu software with this display as well.

The AOC C3583FQ will be available later today VIA sources like Amazon for a cool $600 USD.
