Agents of Mayhem is basically Saints Row 5 [Trailer 2]

One viewing of the gameplay trailer for Agents of Mayhem will make a Saints Row fan understand: this is basically SR with a different title. Volition and Deep Silver are making no effort to disguise the fact that this game exists in the Saints Row universe. They've just called it something else – just so we don't expect any gang-based action.

IT would appear that the most major difference between Saints Row and Agents of Mayhem has to do with the game's character selection. There'll still be main campaign missions and item unlock missions. There'll also be missions to unlock new agents.

Agents in the game are given to the player one by one. Once the player begins with multiple agents, they're able to choose a set of three at a time. A total of 12 agents will be able to be unlocked throughout the game. The trailer released today shows three of the agents – probably the most central to the game's plot.

Agents of Mayhem takes place after the end of Saint's Row IV's expansion Gat Out of Hell. Apparently once the world was re-made, the fleur-de-lis stayed strong. More than a couple links to the Saints Row storyline will quite likely follow.

Below you'll see the first proper trailer for the game. There is a bit more on the storyline – but not too much. Good VS Evil is the theme – perhaps not quite so cut-and-dry as Gat Out of Hell, but there it is anyway.

The game Agents of Mayhem will be released in North America on August 15th, 2017. This game will also be released in the European Union (presumably not in England unless they figure out a way to de-Brexit... JK), on August 18th, 2017. The game's genre is still action-adventure and there's still just one mode: single player. The game will be released on Xbox One, Playstation 4, and Windows PC simultaneously.

Above you'll see the first announcement trailer as released on June 8th, 2016. That's best for those that wish to get amped up about the game. So amped up their mind turns to goo.
