A big bunch of keys

Frankly, I don't think many people give memory sticks too much consideration these days; as long as they're USB 2.0 and offer plenty of gigabytes for the buck then it's a purchase ruled more by wallet than head.  But you can rely on the borderline-obsessive souls at Tom's Hardware to do more in-depth testing than a clandestine vivisectionist, and their attitude toward portable memory is no different.

Twelve sticks enter the arena, with Tom's crown as their potential prize.  I can't help but wonder whether buyers will, despite the meticulous recommendations, be swayed by bargain price tags on whatever bulk buy Best Buy has that day.
