2022 Acura MDX Gallery

Acura has a new flagship, and while the NSX may be its sports star, the 2022 MDX is expected to be the new flag-bearer for the brand. The three-row luxury SUV enters its fourth-generation with a completely new platform and bold new styling, tapping the Acura Precision Concept of 2016. That means sharp creases, unapologetic proportions, and a sizable grille.

Inside, there's room for up to seven across three rows. All sit underneath a full panoramic moonroof as standard; the middle row can either seat three, or have the center seat fold down as an expansive armrest. Remove it completely, and you have easier pass-through access to the last row. Headroom and legroom is up across the board, thanks to a stretched wheelbase.

Under the hood is a 3.5-liter i-VTEC V6 with 290 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque. It's paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, and the 2022 MDX can be had in either FWD or SH-AWD forms. Later in 2021, an MDX Type S with a new 3.0-liter turbocharged DOHC V6 – packing an estimated 355 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque – will arrive for those wanting more grunt.
