2019 Ford Focus ST Gallery

Of all the new Focus variants Ford confirmed were in the pipeline with the fourth-generation car, the 2019 Ford Focus ST is the model we've been most excited about. The hot hatch uses Ford's C2 architecture to excellent results, riding lower than the normal car and with stiffer suspension front and rear. There's also a suitably striking styling update to mark the car out on the lot.

Two engines will be offered. The 2.3-liter EcoBoost gas engine is the more powerful of the two, with 276 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. Likely more economical will be a 2.0-liter EcoBlue diesel, packing 187 hp and 295 lb-ft. Both a six-speed manual and a seven-speed automatic will be offered.

Ford is expecting 0-60 mph in the gasoline ST to arrive in under six seconds. Meanwhile they're fairly practical hatchbacks, too: Ford even moved the position of the tailpipes this time around, so that you can still attach a trailer. Expect them to show up in European dealerships in the Summer of 2019.
