2017 Infiniti Q60 Sports Coupe first look

This week the 2017 Infiniti Q60 Sports Coupe sees the light of day at the 2016 North American International Auto Show. This vehicle rolls with a brand new "VR30" 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine and what Infinity describes as an "exclusive VR powertrain family". This new VR30 engine comes in two power ratings with its 3.0-liter V6, 300 horsepower or 400 horsepower, and the vehicle will be going on sale in "selected markets" later this year.

Inside the USA, you'll have a choice between two engines with three levels of output. With the twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 you'll have either 400 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque, or you'll have 300 hp and 295 lb-ft. With the 300-hp you'll have a provisional rating of 23 mpg.

The Q60 will also be available with a four-cylinder turbo-charged 2.0-liter gasoline engine, coming then with direct injection for "efficiency in all conditions." With that engine in place, you'll roll with 208 horsepower (155 kW, 211 ps) at 5,500 rpm and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) maximum torque at 1,500 rpm and 24 mpg in the US.

Q60 Dimensions:

• Overall length: 184.4 in. / 4,683 mm

• Overall width (with door mirrors): 72.8 in. / 1,850 mm

• Overall height: 54.5 in. / 1,385 mm

• Wheelbase: 112.2 in. / 2,850 mm

Technology inside includes Digital Dynamic Suspension, standard with the "Sport" trim on this vehicle, with adaptive dampers to boot. You'll also have several interior trim options including such materials as aluminum, black wood, carbon fiber, white leather, red leather, and silver glass fiber.
