2016 Range Rover HST Gets 380PS Supercharged V6
A new Range Rover model is debuting at the 2015 New York Auto Show. The car is the new Range Rover Sport HST and it uses an massaged version of the 3.0L supercharged V6 engine that produces more power than the engine does in other models. In Sport HST trim the V6 produces 380PS, which is 40PS more power than normal.
The new V6 engine offering gives Range Rover Sport buyers an option to choose that falls between the small 340PS V6 and the gigantic 550PS version of the SUV. The new Sport HST also gets a unique exterior design and some interior enhancements to set it apart from lesser models. It gets Stealth Pack lamps in the front and rear with non-reflective surrounds.
The roof on the Sport HST models is black and the SUV gets a new rear roof spoiler. The 21-inch alloy wheels have an exclusive dark satin grey finish that show off the updated brakes on the model. Buyers can opt for larger 22-inch Stealth alloy wheels.
Options include the InControl Remote Premium service to remotely lock and unlock doors. The tailgate has an available Gesture Tailgate feature that allows it to be opened hands-free. The new Range Rover Sport HST will be available starting in late summer and will be available to purchase in North America, China, Russia, and the Middle East.
