2016 Land Rover Evoque gets 18% more fuel-efficient

Land Rover has rolled out a refreshed version of the Range Rover Evoque that has some new features and has a new engine option that adds 18% more fuel economy to the car. The updates to the exterior of the Evoque include a new front bumper, two new grille designs, and all-LED headlamps. There are also three new alloy wheel designs for buyers to choose from.

Inside the SUV is revised with new seats and door casings, a new infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen, and new color options. New materials are also available inside with Cherry wood being an option on Autobiography models.

A new diesel engine is also available in the SUV that makes the Evoque when fitted with the diesel the most efficient Land Rove ever made. The EU6-complaint four-cylinder diesel has up to 180PS and fuel economy of up to 68mpg along with CO2 emission as low as 109g/km.

The diesel engine is made from aluminum making it 20-30kg lighter than the older engine available in the Evoque. The engine comes in two power outputs with the 180PS unit offering 59mpg and the 150ps unit offering up to 68mpg. Range Rover says that it will announce pricing closer to launch and that pricing will be comparable to the current model.
