2015 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S ramps up speed and power

The 2015 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S is being shown at NAIAS 2015 this week as the top model of the brand's sporty SUV model series. This vehicle works with 570 hp (419 kW) and 800 Nm (590 ft lb) of torque from its re-engineered 4.8-liter V8 biturbo engine and, according to Porsche, is is able to run the North Loop of the Nürburgring in 7:59.74 minutes. The 2015 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S also works with standard Porsche Composite Ceramic Brakes (PCCB) just in case you want to stop.

The Porsche Composite Ceramic Brakes (PCCB) that come with this vehicle work with 420 mm front brake discs as well as, for the first time, ten-piston calipers. In the back you'll be working with four-piston calipers and 370 mm discs.

Above you'll see the Euro version of this vehicle out in the wild in a press photo – all other photos in this article were captured at NAIAS 2015.

The engine in this model delivers 20 hp more than its predecessor as well as 50 Nm (36.8 ft lb) more torque. In this newest model you'll be accelerating from zero to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, 0.4 seconds faster than the Cayenne Turbo S' predecessor.

With a top speed of 284 km/h (176 mph), this vehicle isn't your average family vehicle. You'll be working with Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) for active roll stabilization, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) for handling and stability, and Porsche Traction Management (PTM) for active hang-on all-wheel drive action.

This vehicle will be costing right around $157,300 with an added $995 in destination charges if you don't happen to be near one when you want one. You'll find the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S being released in the United States starting in late April of this year, 2015.
