2.4GHz Apple MacBook leaks, gets video unboxing

Details of a new plastic Apple MacBook have leaked, with an updated processor and boosted graphics.  The new MacBook – which is identified as MacBook7,1 – packs a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of DDR3 memory and NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256MB graphics, up from the previous iteration’s 2.26GHz CPU and GeForce 9400M GPU.

They also reckon that the screen, while at the same 1024 x 800 resolution, is better quality than that of the model it will presumably replace.  According to Tinhte, it will go on sale imminently at the same $999 price as the current entry-level plastic Apple MacBook.

If authentic, it leaves only the MacBook Air still to be refreshed in recent months, after Apple updated the MacBook Pro range with new processors and graphics options.  No word on exact release dates that this stage.

[Thanks Tinhte and Đức!]
