ZenFone Max promo video highlights massive battery

Asus has published a new video to build up some excitement over the ZenFone Max smartphone that was expected to have launched in October. The smartphone should be launching soon and the new promotional video highlights some of the specs of the device. One of the biggest features of the Max is its massive 5000 mAh internal battery.

That battery promises talk time of up to 37.6 hours and video playback time of up to 22.6 hours. Standby time is rated at up to 38 days. One of the coolest features of that massive battery is that it can be used as a power bank to charge other devices on the go.

The chipset under the hood is a Snapdragon 401 with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The OS is Android Lollipop with ZenUI over the top. The display is a 5.5-inch 720p resolution unit. The front camera is a 5MP unit that can take panoramic selfies and the rear camera is 13MP with laser autofocus.

Dimensions of the ZenFone Max are 156 x 77.5 x 10.5mm and it weighs 202 grams. One key aspect of the smartphone that is unknown at this time is just how much it will cost. That big battery will certainly appeal to those who are on the go a lot.
