XFX outs new HD 6970 and HD 6950 video cards

When it comes to video cards for my computers one of my favorite brands has always been XFX. The gang at XFX has always seemed to offer up some fast products with a nice bundle for gaming geeks to enjoy. With the official, launch today of the AMD HD 6970 and HD 6950 video cards the time is neigh for all the card partners to start tossing their own offerings onto the market.

XFX has unveiled its branded video cards and they sound nice. The HD 6970 has 2GB of GDDR5 RAM, uses HD3D technology from AMD and has HDMI 1.4a output along with a DisplayPort 1.2 output. XFX notes that it will be offering some overclocked versions of the card. The version on its site right now has a clock speed of 880MHz on the GPU, 5500MHz on the memory, and requires a 650W PSU at least.

The HD 6950 XFX is offering has many of the same features as the faster 6970 video card. It has 2GB of GDDR5 RAM, 800MHz graphics clock, and 5000MHz on the memory. Both of the cards are dual slot offerings.
