Xbox One to get Twitch live gameplay broadcasting and other features
The Xbox One is set to get some new features next month and among them is the ability to stream live games. The live game streaming will come via Twitch when new features come to the Xbox One next month. The update will bring more than just the ability to live stream video games.
Gamers will also be able to join in on games with broadcasters, initiate game broadcasts with voice commands, archive game clips, and watch Twitch streams on the Xbox that are broadcast from other devices. That means that Xbox One gamers will be able to watch Twitch streams from the PS4.
Xbox One users have been able to spectate only with Twitch streams and to record their game session with the Upload app previously. The ability to live stream will be new for Xbox One gamers. The updated Twitch app will include the Twitch chat feature and give users the ability to broadcast for the living room using the Kinect camera.
The update will launch on March 11 alongside Titanfall. Xbox One gamers will be glad to see their console finally get these features after the PS4 launched with them last year. Twitch has one million live broadcasters and 45 million viewers each month.
