Watch Blizzard's Gamescom livestream right here

We're now in the thick of Gamescom, and with big announcements from companies like Microsoft in the books, it's Blizzard's turn to make some reveals of its own. Blizzard's Gamescom press conference kicks off in just a few minutes, and even though the company has already made some announcements for games like Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm, it's safe to assume that it's probably prepared something big for its time on the Gamescom stage.

We're not sure what, exactly, those big announcements are, but we'll find out in just a few minutes. Blizzard's Gamescom show begins at 12 PM Eastern/9 AM Pacific, and you can watch the event right here, through the embedded YouTube stream below. While we wait for it to begin, though, we can always take a few stabs at what might be announced.

Blizzard has already announced a new map for Overwatch – Junkertown – so a big Overwatch reveal might be out of the question. Just as well, Blizzard revealed earlier in the week that Kel'Thuzad will be the next playable character for Heroes of the Storm, so we may not see much on the HotS front either. Still, there's always the outside chance that Blizzard reveals a new hero for Overwatch or Heroes, so maybe don't count them out of the running just yet.

Diablo 3 just received a new piece of DLC as well, so we might not see much from that game. StarCraft Remastered just came out last week, so unless Blizzard has been secretly planning a new expansion for StarCraft 2 – which is doubtful – there may not be anything to report about that particular series either. That leaves us with World of Warcraft and Hearthstone, which are both big cash machines for Blizzard.Legion is pretty young as far as World of Warcraft expansions go, but the announcement of a new one isn't outside the realm of possibility. Perhaps we'll see the announcement of such an expansion with a larger reveal headed for Blizzcon? We may also hear more about new raids and content coming to Legion, so don't be surprised to see some World of Warcraft announcements during the show.

Ultimately, there are a bunch of different directions Blizzard could go with its Gamescom show. It may not have anything big to announce at all, instead taking the time to show us some of the new content it revealed earlier in the day. The only way to find out is to watch the event, which you can do above.
