WarMouse Meta sports 18 buttons and laser sensor

Having more buttons than the average rodent isn't uncommon for mice aimed at gamers. Many of them offer six or more buttons that are programmable and can be remapped. For some gamers, that just isn't enough buttons. The WarMouse Meta is for this type of gamer.

The strange looking mouse has 18 buttons and while we have heard of the WarMouse before, the new version dubbed Meta now sports a 5600 dpi laser sensor rather than the optical sensor we first heard of. That is as much resolution as gaming mice heavyweights like the Logitech G9 and other mice from Razer offer.

The 18 buttons on the Meta are all programmable and can have macros bound to them with up to 1024 characters. The laser sensor is adjustable from 100 dpi up the 5600 dpi max and the scroll wheel is clickable. An analog joystick is also built into the side of the mouse. The WarMouse Meta is set to ship in Q1 2010 for $74.99.
