Wacom Intuos Creative Stylus 2 brings 2k pressure levels

Wacom has rolled out the red carpet for some new styluses today, among them being the new Intuos Creative Stylus 2. Aimed at professionals and artists, the newest offering brings with it 2,048 pressure levels, about twice what is offered by its new Bamboo Stylus fineline.

The Intuos Creative Stylus 2 features Bluetooth 4.0 and a brushed aluminum design shrouded with a soft silicone grip. The stylus was designed specifically for the iPad, and is compatible with a variety of common apps like ArtRage and Bamboo Paper.

There are two shortcut buttons on the stylus, replacement nibs, and USB charging — Wacom doesn't say how long the device runs on a charge. The stylus is made to work with two new services Wacom has in the works, both cloud offerings called DropZone (clipboard functionality) and ControlRoom (device settings).

As with the new Bamboo Stylus fineline, this newest offering has a palm reject feature, meaning users can touch their palm to the display without messing up their image or document. The Creative Stylus 2 is available as of today for £64.99/$107 USD.
