Viewsonic VA2626wm 26-Inch Monitor Offers 1080p On A Budget
Viewsonic have announced their latest LCD display, the VA2626wm, aimed at the professional on a budget. Despite being a whopping great 26-inch 1920 x 1200 1080p high-definition panel, with 6,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, the company is only asking for $529. If the quality they deliver is as good as the press release verbiage would have it, you could be looking at a serious bargain.
Inputs include HDMI, DVI and VGA, together with an audio jack for the built-in pair of 2.5W speakers. No, unlikely to rock your workstation through to the floor below, but Viewsonic do let you unclip them if your tastes in music lean more toward the bassy.
The VA2626wm will be available in July, priced at $529. It's suitable for both office and home, as the digital video inputs are HDCP compatible so as to work with HD sources such as Blu-ray players.
