Urbanears Fall/Winter 2017 Collection Taps Minerals For Inspiration

Audio company Urbanears has taken the wraps off its latest collection, the Fall/Winter 17 lineup. This collection features some strong colors, not the least of which is an Emerald Green shade that goes well with the earthy tones of autumn. The company will be releasing three headphones models with this collection's colors, including the Plattan 2, the Plattan ADV Wireless, and the Sumpan.

According to Urbanears, its latest collection draws inspiration from the 'earthy minerals,' hence the emerald green, amethyst purple, and beryl red color options. All three are highly saturated colors, contrasting with some of the more pastel shades the company has launched in the past.

The Sumpan headphones are the cheapest of the bunch, clocking in at $29 USD, while the Plattan ADV Wireless are the most expensive at $99 USD. The Plattan 2 headphones fall in the middle at $49 USD.

Looking at the Sumpan model specifically, buyers get a pair of wired earbuds with a built-in microphone and in-line remote, plus a cable wrapped with braided cord and a 'hook-up feature' that makes it easy to wear them around the neck when not listening to music.

The more expensive Plattan models, meanwhile, are on-the-ear headphones with a flexible 3D hinge, ear cushions designed to isolate the audio, an integrated remote and microphone for making and taking calls, and more. The non-wireless model also features something called a 'ZoundPlug' that lets someone plug their own headphones in, making it possible to share audio with a friend.
