Twitch streamer beats Dark Souls without taking any damage

Dark Souls is easily one of the most difficult games to come out in recent years. My playthrough of it brought back painful memories from my NES gaming days, with games like Karate Kid or Battletoads. I've seen plenty of people make some great playthroughs of Dark Souls, but one Twitch streamer takes the cake, with the most ridiculous feat yet: Not taking a single hit.

I can't tell you the number of times I died while playing Dark Souls. You learn quickly in that game that death is an inevitable part of the process. In order to figure out the timing of a boss, or that a skeleton is hiding out of sight, waiting to kill you, you have to give a few (dozen) lives. Thankfully the game doesn't punish you too severely, as the developers understand that you're going to die, a lot. So when I hear that someone has completed the game without dying, I'm impressed. However, I can't even fathom not taking even one bit of damage.

A Twitch user by the name of The_Happy_Hobbit has obviously spent a lot of time mastering the ins and outs of the game. He recently embarked on a journey where he hoped to complete the entire game without getting hit by a single enemy. In a game where death literally lurks around every corner, this is a massive feat. One which I'd have a hard time believing, if there weren't video proof.

He broadcast his run on his Twitch channel, and thankfully saved the archival footage for all of us to watch. He was able to complete his run in just over 8 hours, and setting what he refers to as a world record. I'm not aware of anyone else that has managed to accomplished this feat, so I'm pretty sure he's safe with that title.
