Top PS2 games are arriving for PlayStation 4 tomorrow

The PlayStation 2 was incredibly popular during its time, and fans far and wide fell in love with titles released for it. Time moved on, of course, and many of those titles were left behind with the console. That changes starting tomorrow, at least for some games, with Sony announcing that a number of PS2 games will be available for the PlayStation 4 starting Saturday.

In a statement today, Sony's Shuhei Yoshida announced that Dark Cloud, a trio of GTA games, Rogue Galaxy, The Mark of Kri, Twisted Metal: Black, and War of the Monsters will be available to download from the PlayStation Store. Availability is limited to North America, South America, and Europe.

Says Sony, the eight inbound games have been "brought ... to meet today's gaming standards" via the addition of Trophy support. As well, the games will also be rendered at 1080p Full HD resolution, and will include things like Second Screen, Remote Play, Activity Feeds, Share Play, and Live Broadcast.

Sony will have the games available to play at its PlayStation Experience in San Francisco this weekend, as well. The prices vary, with the cheapest being Twisted Metal and War of the Monsters at $9.99 USD. The others will all be priced at $14.99 USD.
