It's Prime Day again. Technically Prime Days because it's not going to end until 11:59 pm PT. That leaves you a few hours more to think deeply about what you want to spend your hard-earned money on. Of course, we're here to help with our very own buyer's guide for Prime Day 2018. But if you're particularly interested in what smartphones to get, here are some of the best smartphones money has to offer.

Essential PH-1

The Essential PH-1 is still one of 2017's top smartphones with an almost perfect mix of flagship hardware, vanilla Android, and a very minimal notch. Sure, it went off to a rocky start and a high price tag but it quickly proved its worth, especially with price cuts. Sadly, it is the first and last of its kind but is still going to see support until next year. It's also at its lowest during Prime Day, only $250.

Honor View 10

The Honor View 10 was practically the Huawei Mate 10 in a different clothing and more affordable price tag. It has nearly the same high-end specs to rival the flagships at half the price. And on Prime Day, it goes even lower with a $400 price tag. If you want the best that Huawei and Honor have to offer before they totally ditch the US market, this would be it.

Honor 7X

$400 too much for you? There's always the Honor 7X. The $200 smartphone goes even lower, down to $170, this Tuesday. But don't let that budget price fool you. We found it to be quite capable, offering features and performance you won't find in most smartphones on its tier. True, it does resemble the iPhone 8 quite a lot, which or may not be a deal breaker.

Moto G6 (64 GB)

If, however, you prefer a less customized Android experience than what Honor's EMUI offers, then the Moto G6 could be your bet. Already discounted as Prime Exclusive phone, this mid-range Motorola handset gets another discount, bringing the price down to $260. For that, you do get the higher configuration with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.

LG V35 ThinQ

Swinging in completely the opposite direction, we also consider the LG V35 ThinQ, which quickly upstaged the LG G7 ThinQ in form and, now, in price. The V35 ThinQ offers everything the G7 ThinQ couldn't, including a notch-less design, a bigger battery, and more RAM. And with a $600 price tag for Prime members, it's even more affordable as well.

Razer Phone

If, on the other hand, gaming is your thing, then the Razer Phone would be your best bet. Yes, we wish the ASUS ROG Phone would already be available, but such is life. While it does sport last year's specs, the Razer Phone is still the only phone that boasts of 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR support for the likes of Netflix, and more. Only $450 this Prime Day.

Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+ Bundles

OK, Samsung's early 2018 flagships don't exactly have discounts on the phones themselves. Instead, the OEM is offering bundles that, altogether, would cost an additional $430. All for the same price of the smartphone itself. So if you buy a $720 Galaxy S9 or $840 Galaxy S9+, you will also be receiving, practically for free, a SmartThings Home Monitoring Kit, an Amazon Echo, and an Amazon Echo Spot.
