TMNT "Brothers" commercial introduces Splinter and Shredder

The latest in the long line of teases for the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie comes the TV spot "Brothers", which aired recently during the MTV Movie Awards. Though the commercial is only 30 seconds long, it gives fans their first glimpse of both Splinter and Shredder.

You have to be quick to catch the spot with Splinter (the TMNT's ninja master rat) who is only seen from the side and rear — we never get a look at his face, so what design choices were made is yet unknown. The Shredder is only seen for the briefest moment as a blurry figure in the background of Splinter's debut.

It seems the video's voice over is Splinter's, but it is hard to say for sure. Aside from that, the rest of the brief TV spot is marked by brief glimpses of some new elements and large portions of video clips from the already released trailers, which you can check out in the timeline below.

There has been some controversy over the new design given to the turtles, something that has failed thus far to strike co-creator Peter Laird's fancy as well. He recently engaged in a long interview about the released trailers, giving his thoughts on what is currently known about the film.
