This iPhone app helps avoid pic sharing mishaps

Sometimes, it's easier to hand your phone off to someone when you want to share photos with. Rather than finding the ones you'd like to share and send along via social media, the phone swap is easier in person. Unfortunately, that can lead to the discovery of embarrassing moments, but we've found an app that might just help you find a way around those scenarios.

Overswipe is an iOS app that lets you share what you want. All you have to do is select the photos you want to share, and hand your device off. Your friends of family won't have to stumble into your weirdness, and you won't be grabbing for your device in terror.

A freemium app, Overswipe lets you share up to five photos at a time, free of charge. If you upgrade — which only costs $0.99 — Overswipe gives you unlimited sharing, and a passcode lock feature so whoever has your device can't navigate back into your photo gallery.

It's handy for sharing pics of a trip taken, and eliminates the over-swipe (get it?!) situation of friends finding a bit more than you bargained for. It works with iPhone, though an iPad app would likely be just as handy. It won't solve the issue of you taking terrible photos, but it will let you share the ones you want to. A siloed, temporary album is a pretty neat idea, really.
