This humongous PS4 controller is thankfully a one-time thing

Some things are never meant to be and this probably one of them. We've seen our fair share of gaming devices and peripherals magnified a hundred times their size, but almost all of those have been fan-made. This one, however, is as official as it gets. Sony has made a gigantic PS4 controller to celebrate the remaster of Parappa the Rapper, which is celebrating its 20th year. And what better way to make a big party than by having a big controller?

Sony calls it the "Deca Controller", which probably hints it is 10 times its size. We gander it's much more than that. Depending on your height, the controller, when propped upright, reaches above the waist. Suffice it to say, you're not going to win any button mashing with this. Which is ironic, considering Parappa is a rhythm game.

Don't be deceived by its size, though. It's only half the controller that its regular-sized siblings are. Only half of the functionality actually works, namely the four buttons, the D-pad, and the L1 and R1 buttons. The two analog sticks and the L2 and R2 are just for show, though they may feel functional.

Of course, it's really all just for show anyway, to celebrate the rapping dog's birthday. Whether you win the game using this beast of a controller is the real question. Sadly, you have to be living in Japan to find out the answer to that.
