The moodSeer knows your mood, sort of

We've all heard stories about how one day computers are going to be smarter than us, so smart in fact that we will be able to command them with only our minds. What if you could control your music collection by your mood.

Sound interesting enough. The moodSeer will supposedly do that. It has built-in moods that you will categorize your music into. Then when you want to listen to music in any room of your house, just pick up the remote, select the room, then select your mood.

Did I miss something? I get the fact that you can play music in any room of the house, that's cool. But the whole mood thing? I don't get it. You're just categorizing your music into playlists. I do that with iTunes. I actually have my music arranged by mood on there. The moodSeer just plays whatever playlist you tell it to, big deal.

If you look past the misleading "mood seeing" it's a cool enough device. It has a touchscreen wireless remote control, and 200GB or 1.5TB of storage. $4,100 seems a little steep though, and that's only for the base station. You've still got to fork over another $1,500 for each room. My advice, if you want some tunes in another room, just get a SFF PC with iTunes on it. It'll work just as well, and cost you thousands less.
