Back in February, Bem Wireless introduced a unique wearable, the Speaker Band. As its name suggests, the Speaker Band is a wrist band that, at first glance, appears to be a boxy smartwatch. Over the face is positioned a grille, however, and beneath it sits a little portable speaker.
Jawbone’s MINI JAMBOX is getting friendly, with new software allowing two of the portable, battery-powered speakers to easily pair up for room-filling sound, while giving two people the chance to collaborate as communal DJs. Released today, the new firmware enables Multipoint in the MINI JAMBOX’s Bluetooth Smart Ready stack: put a couple of the speakers near each other, hold down all three of the buttons on both, and after a few seconds they link up and spread whatever’s playing between both. I caught up with Jawbone to find out more.
This month we were sent the tiniest device we’ve seen in a long time. I opened the package that included several cases for our most recent HTC One (M8) case extravaganza, and in the box was the iFrogz Tadpole. What on earth does someone do with the world’s smallest Bluetooth speaker?
Sonos plans to do away with its wired network requirement, retiring the Sonos Bridge for most users by finally connecting to a music listener's WiFi instead. Kickstarter is full of success stories, if you know where to look, and honored in its hallowed halls is the Tubecore Duo, a sleek speaker for audiophiles that has recently been updated with additional details. If all goes as planned, the speaker will be sent out to backers this coming summer, complete with a beautiful wood body.

Announced by Nokia CEO Stephen Elop - who promptly mocked its name - the MD-12 hooks up via Bluetooth. Update: Live photos after the cut!
If you grew up in the 80's you will remember people walking around with giant and loud radios on their shoulders known as a boom box. Pyle audio has just launched a new product that is a modern boom box called the Street Blaster. It is designed to be a portable speaker, but it's much larger than most of the Bluetooth speakers we have seen.
Sony announced a new line of wireless high-end speakers recently. Three new speakers have been added to the SRS line of wireless units including the SRS-X9, SRS-X7, and the SRS-X5. Sony says all three of the new wireless speakers will bring clear vocals and deep bass on the go or in the home.
Many people want to get music into the various rooms of their home or office. The catch for some people is that they don’t want the speakers to be obvious. You can cut the walls or ceiling to install speakers, but cutting isn't an option for some. This is where a product like Soundwall comes in.
