Yes, Xbox Project Scarlett will have a disc drive

Yesterday, Microsoft shared the first details about its next-generation Xbox, which for now is called Project Scarlett. We didn't get to see the box itself, and we don't know how many consoles will comprise the Project Scarlett family, so there's still a lot that's unknown. Microsoft probably won't be talking more specifics for a while either, as Project Scarlett isn't due out until Holiday 2020 - around a year and a half from now.

Nintendo 3DS was nowhere to be seen during E3 2018

Nintendo has been going hard at E3 the past couple of years, kicking things off with a special Direct presentation the leads directly into three days of livestreams. These Treehouse livestreams, as Nintendo calls them, are day-long affairs, giving the company plenty of time to take deep dives into previously announced titles and even reveal a few new ones. Unfortunately, throughout Nintendo's entire E3 2018 presentation this year, the 3DS was really nowhere to be found.

EA gives Battlefield 5 women backlash a blunt ultimatum

Vocal gamers who aren't happy with women being included in Battlefield V have an easy solution, EA's chief design officer has said, but they might not like it even more. Next-gen Xbox “Scarlet” said to be gaming device family

The next-gen Xbox will be a family of new consoles, not just a single successor to the Xbox One X, as the rumor mill works its magic as the backdrop to E3 2018. Although Microsoft launched a new Xbox only last year, work is unsurprisingly underway on its replacement, with an aggressive roadmap for just when we could see fresh gaming hardware hit shelves.

Cyberpunk 2077 details: first-person RPG with a “cool” stat

CD Projekt earned a name for itself for The Witcher RPG series but, after three mainline titles, it was high time for a change. Cyberpunk 2077 promised to be that change, primarily in setting and treatment. It took more than five years for the game developer to go from teaser concept art to actual trailer but, thankfully, now we have more details to chew on as well. And it might be cliché but, at least on paper, Cyberpunk 2077 seems to be poised to be something new but something totally familiar as well.

Even though Nintendo said that its E3 Direct presentation would focus on Switch games releasing in 2018, one with a 2019 release date slipped through the cracks.
