Panasonic LUMIX FZ80 has 60x optical zoom and optical image stabilization

Yet another Panasonic camera has been bestowed upon us, this model being the Lumix FZ80. The newest addition to Panasonic’s FZ series features the same Venus Engine found in today’s other two camera announcements, as well as a High Sensitivity MOS 18.1-megapixel sensor. Most notable, though, is the FZ80's massive 60x optical zoom, a 20 - 1200mm 35mm camera equivalent. To keep those ultra-zoomed photo sharp, the camera also features POWER Optical Image Stabilization.

Microsoft aims for hearts, minds, and eyeballs of autonomous vehicle riders

Whereas much of the autonomous car hype centers around the sensors and processing technology necessary to tackle the self-driving challenge, Microsoft is more interested in what you're going to do with all the time you'll be spending while en route, but not behind the wheel. Specifically, the software giant has banded together with partners NXP, IAV, Swiss Re, and Cubic Telecom to demonstrate how it plans to fit in to the driverless future at CES.

Samsung Notebook Odyssey is quite obviously a gaming laptop

Samsung says that their brand new Notebook Odyssey is the first they've ever made specifically for gaming. I'm inclined to agree, as they've introduced two different versions of the Odyssey, both with aesthetics that make Samsung seem less mature in notebook styling than we know they are. Both versions of the Samsung Notebook Oyssey work with light-up keys, a "HexaFlow Vent," and 7th-generation Intel Core i7 processors.

ZTE Hawkeye, formerly Project CSX, jumps on Kickstarter

From crowdsourcing to crowdfunding. That basically sums up the conception and infancy of the ZTE Hawkeye, the formal and final name of the smartphone that was born out of ZTE’s unexpected Project CSX, short for “Crowd Sourced X”. Now that smartphone, which is basically a self-adhesive device with built-in eye tracking, will be put to the test to see if there really is a market for such a smartphone. Or if supporters of the CSX initiative are truly ready to see this through and raise $500,000 to start the Hawkeye’s production.
