T-Mobile tipped to offer Galaxy Note 8 BOGO deal tomorrow

If you thought that T-Mobile's only Galaxy Note 8 promo would be to ship it earlier than everyone else, better think again. Word on the rumor mill is the carrier will offer a Buy One Get One or BOGO to buyers, just as it did with the Galaxy S8 earlier this year. That will all supposedly start on Friday, right at the start of IFA. But if you've already pre-ordered the phablet from the carrier, worry not. You're also covered, provided you meet the requirements.

The first requirement is that the buyer should already be a T-Mobile subscriber. Or to be more specific, a T-Mobile One or T-Mobile Simple Choice Unlimited subscriber. No word yet on those who will just be jumping ship from other carriers.

The second requirement is that you will need to buy a Galaxy Note 8 under T-Mobile's Equipment Installation Plan (EIP) and then add a second EIP line. For this second line you're limited to choosing only from a Galaxy S8, a Galaxy S8+, or another Galaxy Note 8. Only after you've bought two lines on EIP will you be able to use the 17SAMN8BOGO promo code to receive a prepaid MasterCard to cover the second device.

Eager beavers who preordered the Galaxy Note 8 already, and who might receive their devices really soon, can still avail of this deal. They just need to do the same steps as above, provided they're part of the eligible T-Mobile plans in the first place.

Samsung and its carrier partners are doing everything they can to mitigate the shock of the Galaxy Note 8's $1,000 price tag, though most consumers, especially those outside the US, will still feel the full force of that cost. This T-Mobile Galaxy Note 8 BOGO promo is expected to begin 1st September. The Galaxy Note 8 itself isn't expected to ship until September 15.
