T-Mobile Evolves Prepaid Mobile Data with New Plans

Even as prepaid plans get better, it's the post-paid and contract-based plans that seem to get all of the attention. But, as prepaid plans look better and better, especially with their unlimited offerings in one capacity or another, it's no surprise that T-Mobile would be aiming to "evolve" the mobile data plans for prepaid customers, by bringing them new plans that include voice and text messaging, as well as options for those who need mobile data plans.

The new plans are set to roll out on October 18th, and include five different options. The first, at the top of the list, is the $70 per month option, which includes unlimited minutes and text messages, and gives the customer 2GB of data to consume for the month. The other unlimited option is $50 per month, which brings unlimited talk and text, and offers 100MB of data. Customers will also be able to choose a plan that includes unlimited text, with voice calls costing $.10 per minute.

But, that's not all. T-Mobile is also announcing that, beginning next week, T-Mobile will be offering their first mobile broadband prepaid plans. Customers will even get the opportunity to pick up the wireless carrier's Jet Prepaid USB laptop stick. It will be available to order from T-Mobile's website beginning October 18th, but if you want to wait to pick it up in a store, you'll have to wait until October 20th.

There are three plan options for the Jet prepaid USB laptop stick: $10 for a week pass, which will give customers 100MB. Or $30 per month for 300MB of data per month. Finally, customers can choose the $50 per month plan, which will give them 1GB of data per month. You can see the full official statement below.
