T-Mobile: all subscribers get 3 months unlimited LTE in holiday promo

As T-Mobile continues to drive home its "un-carrier" mantra with new features and plans, the company has just announced a new "Un-Carrier Unwrapped" promotion that should make subscribers very happy this holiday season. The promo is said to release a new "gift" each week for the next month, with the first being announced today: all existing Simple Choice customers will get 3 months of unlimited LTE data.

Now, if you're a T-Mobile customer already, or thinking of switching because of this offer, there are some details you need to pay attention to. First, the unlimited LTE data will be automatically applied to postpaid customers who had an account by the end of Monday, November 23rd. So if you switch to T-Mobile today, you unfortunately won't qualify.

Second, the 3 months of unlimited LTE doesn't begin immediately, but instead will start December 1st and run through the end of February 2016. Also, customers will need to have the carrier's new Binge On streaming service activated. And lastly, the unlimited LTE can't be used with a second device via tethering.

T-Mobile also teased that the next three weeks of "gifts" will be targeted at rivals AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon, likely to lure their customers to switch carriers. "But that's not all....we know that Verizon, AT&T and Sprint customers need some holiday cheer, too – so we've got presents coming for them," T-Mobile CEO John Legere said.
