Falling between a midsize sedan and a large one, the 2023 Toyota Crown includes features like a soft suspension and a good-sized infotainment screen.
The Crown’s base hybrid engine boasts around 41 miles per gallon, but that drops to about 30 mpg if drivers opt for the Platinum trim and its beefier engine.
14. Kia Sportage
The 2023 Kia Sportage offers a spacious interior and outstanding mileage for around $27,500, though there are a few extra options that can increase its cost.
You can expect about 43 mpg with the hybrid trim or closer to 38 mpg with cheaper options. Additionally, the motor can run for 30 miles in “electric only” mode.
13. Ford Maverick
Introduced in 2022, the Ford Maverick is one of the few remaining compact pickup trucks. It
balances efficiency, comfort, and work-truck ability.
The base XL model of the hybrid truck can get around 42 miles per gallon in the city and 33 on the highway. Its smaller size also makes it more affordable than Ford’s other trucks.

With a classy redesign and multiple trim options, the Toyota Corolla offers hybrid and conventional powertrains as well as front- and all-wheel-drive options.
The front- and all-wheel-drive variants get excellent gas mileage, with the AWD LE getting 48 mpg and the FWD Corolla with the LE trim getting 50 mpg.

With the hybrid engine getting about 53 miles per gallon and selling at a base price of around $28K, the Kia Niro Hybrid is roomy, sporty, and fuel-efficient.
