Steam's Winter Sale will reportedly start next week

There's a big event that's just around the corner, that people all over the place are excited about. Details are being kept quiet, so that nothing is revealed too early. But we've found information that might just spoil the news for you. No, I'm not talking about Star Wars, I'm talking about the upcoming Steam Winter Sale.

Steam has a sale every year around this time, so it's hardly a secret. However, Valve likes to keep a tight lip on when it starts. Thanks to someone over at Paypal, they have accidentally let slip the start date of the big sale. Many Bothans died to bring us this information.

According to a promotional page on Paypal's site, the Winter Sale is slated to start on December 22nd. It will likely run until the early days of January, which means you can utilize the deals for last-minute gifts, and spend some of your Christmas cash on discounted games after the holiday is over.

The great thing about this is that we now know that all of the discounts will be announced on the first day of the sale, and won't continue to change. This is because Valve has decided to do away with daily and flash sales. So you'll know how to spend your hard-earned cash the moment that the sale goes live.
