Square Enix E3 2019 show dated: Here's what we want to see

As it does every year, Square Enix is hosting another press conference at E3. Today, the company confirmed just when, exactly, that press conference will happen. It looks like Square Enix has opted to follow Bethesda and Microsoft this year, scheduling its own press conference on the Monday before E3 begins – one day after the other two companies will take the stage.

Square Enix will host its E3 2019 press conference on Monday, June 10th at 6 PM Pacific time, as announced on Twitter this morning. With Bethesda and Microsoft both scheduling their shows for E3 on the Sunday before and Sony and Electronic Arts both announcing that they won't be hosting pressers this year, it's entirely possible that Square Enix's will be the final press conference before E3 officially begins on Tuesday, June 11th.

Obviously, Square Enix doesn't tell us what we should expect at its show – we'll need to watch it to find out – but we can make a few educated guesses as to what will be featured. We'll probably see more about the upcoming Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles remaster for Switch and PS4, and there'll likely be some information about the Romancing SaGa 3 remake on hand as well.

Square Enix will probably also make some new announcements, though what we're really hoping to see is new stuff about the company's Final Fantasy 7 remake and its Avengers project. In the case of that Final Fantasy 7 remake specifically, we've been waiting a very long time for new information – so long, in fact, that we're starting to worry that the project may never see the light of day.

Hopefully one or both of those games are covered during Square Enix's conference this year. Last year's Square Enix conference was a bit of a letdown, so it would be great to see the company go big this year. We'll be covering the show as it happens right here at SlashGear, so stay tuned for that.
