Snyder confirms Batman v. Superman trailer out on April 20

Avengers: Age of Ultron will be premiering next week, but let's not forget about the xpected blockbuster hit that will pit DC's most iconic superheroes against each other. And as if to somewhat douse some cold water over Marvel fans' fiery excitement, Zack Snyder has confirmed on Twitter that the very first trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be screened at IMAX on the 20th of April. And to make you really, really want to be there to see it, Snyder offers a totally non-revealing clip as well.

Batman v Superman will be a first of sorts for the film versions of DC's comic book characters. It will the be first time since Christian Bale that Batman will not be portrayed by Christian Bale but by Ben Affleck instead. It's also the first time that the two biggest DC characters will share the same screen space in a live action film. And it will also be the debut of Wonder Woman, played by Gal Godot, in preparation for her own solo film in 2017.

The trailer, of course, barely has anything to it. It just shows Superman's and Batman's costumes and their logos morphing into each other. Really, this is a teaser at its purest, as if designed to mock those trying to look for even a sliver of a clue for what's coming next.

And fans and viewers will remain mocked, as the trailer won't be available for everyone to see. It will only be screened in select IMAX cinemas in the US and, even then, seats are limited. So better head on over to the official teaser website to sign up before they are completely gone. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens 25th March, 2016.
