Skullcandy Venue headphones have Tile built-in for tracking

Skullcandy has unveiled a new pair of wireless headphones called Venue, a model the company claims offers a "fully immersive listening experience" alongside noise-cancelling technology. Though the model is similar to competing headphones in many ways, it does have one very big point of distinction: Tile's tracking technology built-in.

The headphones, which are available in white and black color options, are fairly minimalist in design, though with an obvious Skullcandy logo above the ear cup. In addition to active noise cancellation, the Venue features 24 hours of battery life alongside rapid charging; users get 5 hours of use from 10 minutes of charging.

Users won't need to remove the headphones when it is time to talk to someone thanks to Monitor Mode, which is activated with the press of a button. The headphones also support personal assistants, which are also triggered by touching a button. Voice commands and requests can be made while wearing Venue.

As far as design goes, Skullycandy's new headphones feature an adjustable headband, soft memory foam cushions, and an overall lightweight design. Perhaps most interesting, though, is the inclusion of Tile technology baked into the headphones, enabling the owner to track their location using a smartphone.

Buyers will need to download the Tile mobile app; tracking is available for up to 24 hours, depending on how much battery life the headphones have left. The headphones won't be available until September 17, but they can be preordered for $179.99 USD now.
