Skullcandy launches Crusher headphones

A lot of people who like music aren't happy with bass that you can only hear. Some people want the sort of bass that you can hear and feel, which can be a challenge for a set of headphones because the speakers simply aren't that big. Headphone maker Skullcandy has announced the launch of a new line of headphones called Crusher promising the sort of deep bass that you hear and feel.

These headphones are a large set of DJ-styled units with over the ear cups and special REX40 drivers. The headphones also use a Sensation55 driver for deeper bass. The headphones are offered in white, black, and red colors for $99.95.

Another feature designed specifically to improve audio quality is special acoustical porting on the ear cups to help increase bass reproduction and reduce distortion. The headphones are designed to fold up to make them more portable for on the go use. The headphones also feature built-in amplifier powered by AA batteries and have a separate adjustable bass controller.

Skullcandy also fits the headphones with a special automatic on/off smart circuit that turns off the amplifier when you turn off your music. The ear pillows are made with a soft touch synthetic leather for long wearing comfort. The headphone cable is a standard 3.5 mm unit and it also has an in-line remote and mic for making phone calls.
