Sim2 Adds Lumis Host System On Its C3X 1080P Projector

Obviously there've been more than a few improvements on the Sim2 C3X 1080P 3 Chips DLP from our last coverage. The Grand Cinema has since increased to a better equipped Sim2 with greater than 35k to 1 contrast and 3000 Ansi lumens. But the train doesn't stop there; the manufacture has expanded its Grand Cinema series C3X with a proprietary, three-line optical-digital High-Definition Optical Signal Transfer (H.O.S.T.) outboard system, to enable a lengthy connection between the units over distances up to 750 feet.

The D3X needs no further introduction, It's a TI 3-chips DarkChip4 high end projector with state of the art features and remarkable high lumens output. The outboard Lumis Host, on the other hands, is the new feature that set it apart from last releases. Aside from magnifying the signal connectivity for distanced connection via its loss-less fiber solution, it also has a professional grade video processing, advanced light intensity control system and an abundance of connectivity such as 6 HDMI, 3 components, Lan, HD-SDI and the usual legacy ports like S-video and composite.

Like most finest Italian exotics, the Sim2 will set you back around $36k to $38K depend of lens configuration, as much as the price of an entry sport car or a mid-class SUV!
