Sharp plans to launch 3D smartphone this year

A Sharp representative has let fly a little tidbit that many will find interesting. The electronics giant plans to launch a new 3D smartphone this year. Sharp as you may recall is one of the companies rumored to be providing the screen for the Nintendo 3DS.

The hallmark of that new portable game console is that the 3D screen needs no glasses. The Sharp 3D smartphone is also said to need no glasses and will even have a 3D camera as well.

The 3D panel tech suited for small screens was unveiled back in April reports Reuters. Details on the smartphone like price, operating system, and hardware are unavailable at this time.
