Samsung Galaxy XCover 3 smartphone details leak

Samsung wants to have the lion's share of every smartphone market from the top to the bottom and to do that it has plenty of offerings. Samsung smartphones run the gamut from high-end devices like the Galaxy S series to low end devices. One of Samsung's lines that hadn't been updated in a long time is the XCover range.

The last new device in the XCover line was the XCover 2 that landed back in January of 2013. Samsung is set to update that XCover line with a new device called the XCover 3 according to leaked details that have hit the web. The new device has model number SM-G338F and looks to be a mid-range offering.

The hardware inside the smartphone is not terrible, but nothing really stands out. The chipset is a Marvell Armada PXA1908 that has a quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU and 1GB of RAM. It is also tipped to have a 4.8-inch screen with resolution of 800 x 480.

Internal storage is tipped at 8GB, presumably with a microSD card for expansion. The rear camera has 5MP resolution with a 2MP front camera. The big feature of the XCover family is the rugged design. The OS is Android 4.4.4 and pricing details are unavailable at this time.
