Saints Row Gat Out Of Hell Gameplay Video Gets Hot

Welcome to heck. Saints Row: Gat out of Hell is like a Saints Row half – not quite a full game ready to out-do the previous release, but certainly not a DLC. Stand-alone and ready to keep with the furious madness delivered in Saints Row IV. Today we get gameplay.

The following is not a trailer. Instead it's a Developer Walkthrough, the kind that allows you to get as close to the action as possible without sources like SlashGear giving you gameplay straight.

One thing you'll notice right away is the graphic fidelity. It's very, very similar to Saints Row 4. By all accounts it appears as though they've simply taken the same gaming engine and run it all on the same machines, releasing a new chapter with the same gear.

Some effects have been retrofit to other abilities than they'd been attached to in previous editions of the game. One example is the flaming run – you're not just Blazing in a mini-game, you're running through Hell.

One new weapon in this game is the Exodus-10. This is one of several guns that fire plagues or pestilences. This one fires locusts.

Making good use of the chief sins of the universe since we're in Hell, you'll see a brief glimpse of the Armchair-A-Geddon. That's for Sloth.

Flight is also included – basically what you've done in an airplane before, this time with wings and without a vehicle. Only it's a bit more complicated than that. Have a peek.

This game will be released in full on January 27th, 2015. It'll be out for PC, PS4, and Xbox One in a variety of packages, all starting at $19.95 USD. Have a peek at our Gat-filled timeline below.
