Robo-vac owner naps in the wrong spot, vacuum eats her hair

Robotic vacuums like the Roomba come with a lot of benefits and few downsides, but their autonomous functionality coupled with a relative lack of intelligence means some snafus are bound to happen (though they're usually the owner's fault). We've seen instances of this in the past. In late 2013, for example, a Roomba parked on a counter activated for its scheduled session and rolled its way onto a hot stove where it burnt up into ashes. In the latest incident, a robotic vacuum "ate" its owner's hair while she napped.

A report coming out of South Korea reveals that napping on the floor while being the owner of a robotic vacuum might not be the wisest decision. A 52-year-old unnamed woman did just that, and her robotic vacuum activated.

While rolling around for its scheduled cleaning session, the vacuum ending up sucking up its owner's hair, getting it all impossibly tangled, so much so that she was forced to call the fire department for help.

Ultimately the fire department managed to take apart the robot vacuum and free her hair — hopefully they didn't have to lop any of it off — and all is fine. Does this count as the first domestic robot attack?
