Roast, Crisp And Broil With A Superhot Bulb
Sometimes I get in from work and I'm desperate for a gobble. Problem is, I'm a dedicated follower of fashion and microwave meals are just so passé – I need some sort of alternative table-top cooking solution. Thank the fluffy lord, then, that Black & Decker have seen fit to revolutionise my delicately sterilised surfaces by creating the FC150B InfraWave Speed Cooking Countertop Oven.
I know what you're thinking, you sarcastic lot. You're thinking "that's a bulb in a box" or something along those lines. Whereas in fact it's a 1,500 Watt bulb which apparently cooks using the "specific wavelengths of light that are emitted from high-power light bulbs."
Frankly, it just means it cooks as fast as a microwave with the same crispiness as a conventional oven. Fifty-two preset programs take care of standard foods such as pizza, cookies and reheating, while the clever "convert" function can work out "InfraWave time" from normal cooking time.
Delicious.
