ReSound LiNX is a made for iPhone hearing aid
Many people in the US and around the world are hard of hearing and need assistive devices. A company called ReSound has unveiled a new hearing aid that is made for the iPhone called the LiNX. The LiNX is able to stream stereo sound from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
The hearing aid doesn't need an additional pendant-like device. The user experience for the hearing aid can also be customized through the ReSound smart App that runs on the Apple device. LiNX uses Surround Sound by ReSound, which is an integrated sound processing technology.
The ability to stream sound directly from the iPhone means that the user can use the hearing aid with their iPhone to hear conversations more clearly. The app allows the user to tune the volume level, treble/bass settings, and to use geo tagging to assign the sound settings they want to a specific place.
That means you can make the hearing aid know where you are and set itself up how you want automatically for each location. The hearing aid claims to be powerful enough to address 90% of all hearing losses. The device uses 2.4GHz wireless technology and Bluetooth Smart tech. The ReSound LiNX is also available as the Beltone First. Pricing is unknown at this time.
