Researchers develop hot new display technology

Researchers in Hong Kong have developed a new type of display made from a mixture of metal nanoparticles and plastic. What's really cool is that the screen as actually thermally-activated, which means that they change color depending on the temperature of the display.

The new type of display is easier and cheaper to make than the LCD displays that we are used to using these days. The display is paper-thin and flexible which will allow for a multitude of applications.

As of now, the technology isn't ready to replace your computer monitor. Rather, they can only display a predetermined pattern that is created with wires by using a form of "soft lithography."
