RED release 3K Scarlet handheld camera render

RED have >dropped a render of their upcoming Scarlet camera, a slightly more portable (e.g. handheld rather than tripod-mounted) alternative to their RED ONE behemoth.  Despite being a so-called "pocket professional" model, it still packs a 2/3-inch Mysterium X sensor grabbing massive 3K stills and video clips and storing them, at 1 to 120 FPS, on dual Compact Flash cards.

Those dual cards can manage up to 100MB per second of REDCODE RAW HD video, and there are HMDI, HD-SDI, FireWire 800 and USB 2.0 sockets to make shuffling media around possible.  A 4.8-inch LCD serves to preview shots, and there's also WiFi.

Apparently the camera will be compatible with RED ONE accessories, and it includes an 8x RED zoom lens.  Original suggestions were of an early-2009 release and sub-$3k price tag.
