Razer Dragon Ball FighterZ Fightsticks has lots of balls

Fighting games like Street Fighter started out on arcade cabinets with heavy-duty sticks and smashable buttons. And for those old enough to remember, that's how those types of games are best played. But today's gaming devices are not just more delicate, their gamepads don't exactly give you the "feel" of dominating your opponent through convoluted combos. To offer that same experience to players of Dragon Ball FighterZ, Razer has teamed up with franchise owners Bandai Namco and Toei to bring all seven Dragon Balls at your literal fingertips with these Fightsticks for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 systems.

The continuing popularity of fighting games has also brought about the resurgence of fightstick peripherals, many of which have been designed to match a game like Street Fighter V or Dragon Ball FighterZ. Such is the case with the Razer Atrox Arcade Stick for the Xbox One and the Razer Panthera Arcade Stick for the PS4. These boards, however, do more than just slap a fancy cover.

For one, the sticks cleverly puts Dragon Balls on the buttons. Of course, there are only 7 Dragon Balls but there are eight buttons, so one of them is going to stick out like a sore button. That said, you can always change that button's design, or any of those other buttons.

In fact, these Razer Fightsticks are designed to be easily moddable, offering quick access to internals and storage components. Those include a detachable screw-lock cable, extra buttons, and even a screwdriver. You won't, however, be disappointed with the out of the box experience, with tournament-grade Sanwa Denshi buttons and an honest to goodness authentic Sanwa joystick complete with a ball top.

So how much for this DBZ-branded arcade experience? $219.99. The Razer Atrox Arcade Stick for the Xbox One and the Razer Panthera Arcade Stick for the PlayStation 4 go on sale in Spring this year, both on Razer.com and retailers worldwide.
